Job done. Stay on their fridge.

About your plumbing work

No repeat visit assumed. Nothing pretends a one-off job needs a service.

Tap anything on the door to see that step. Nothing here sends a message.
Does this job have an agreed repeat service?

No repeat service assumed. Use the care check and referral invitation for one-off jobs.

Day 2: care check

Check the work before asking for more.

Ask one useful question. A problem becomes a service task, owned by a named person.

Hi [first name], it's [your name] from [business], checking in on your plumbing work. Is everything working as expected, with no drips or leaks? If something needs attention, reply here so we can help. Reply STOP to opt out.

Replace anything still in brackets before you send it. Drop the STOP line for email.

Example: a heating job with a yearly service.

Example only. A heating job finished on Oct 6, 2026, with a 12-month service the customer agreed to. These are the dates this planner gives, worked with the same rules as yours.

  1. 1Oct 6, 2026Finish the job. Leave a clear next step.Give the customer their care notes and the right number for help. Record who owns follow-up.
  2. 2Oct 8, 2026Check the work before asking for more.Ask one useful question. A problem becomes a service task, owned by a named person.
  3. 3Oct 20, 2026Make it easy to pass your name on.Send only after any issues are resolved. Make one easy ask, then leave it with them.
  4. 4Sep 6, 2027Give the next visit a real reason.Use this only for a suitable, agreed service cycle. Check the actual equipment or project care guidance before setting a due date.

If the day-2 check finds a problem

The customer replies "the upstairs vent is still cold". That becomes a service task with a named owner. The day-14 referral ask waits until it is fixed. You never ask a customer with an open problem to recommend you.

Five rules before anything gets sent.

  1. Resolve open problems before asking for another job or a referral.
  2. Stop promotional follow-up when someone opts out. Use only a channel they agreed to use.
  3. Ask the customer to share your details. Do not ask for a friend's private contact details.
  4. Replace every bracket before sending. These templates do not send anything.
  5. If you also ask for reviews, ask every customer the same way, happy or not, and never offer anything in return.

Questions

Where do the day 2 and day 14 timings come from?

They are suggested starting points, not a benchmark. Day 2 gives the work time to show a problem. Day 14 gives you time to fix one before you ask for anything. Change them to suit your jobs.

Should every job get a repeat reminder?

No. Only pick a cycle when the job really has one and the customer agreed to it, like a yearly furnace service. A new roof does not need a 6-month "check-in" sales message.

Does this send messages for me?

No. This page writes the plan and the words. You or your team send them, on a channel the customer agreed to.
