Your board, read out.

Type your profile views and call button clicks. The counters roll and the tag works out the ratio.

Google counts a tap on your call button whether or not anyone picked up. One customer can tap three times. So the counters tell you people looked and reached for the phone. Your call log and your job book tell you what happened next.

Your first move: Fix the basics

Pick a person · pick a due date

  1. Check your phone, website link and opening hours against what a customer sees.

The other two steps, the three cliff-note lessons and the printable workbook are in the free pack below.

Example: one month, worked through.

Made-up figures, so you can see the maths before you trust it with yours. Load them onto the board with the button under the inputs.

What this does not tell you: how many calls were answered, how many asked for an estimate, how many booked. Never add the four counters together and call the total leads.

Questions

Where do I find these numbers?

Sign in to the Google account that manages your verified profile, open Performance, pick a date range and apply it. Some figures only show for some businesses. If one is missing, leave it blank.

Is 3 per 100 good?

We don't publish a benchmark, because we haven't seen one we trust. Compare your own board month to month, using the same length of period, and note anything that changed: hours, ads, the season.

Will this improve my ranking?

Google says local results mainly depend on relevance, distance and prominence. Accurate details, real photos and honest reviews help customers. Nobody can promise you a top-three spot.
